xtenzo is an entrepreneurial and internationally active creative agency based in Haarlem. We provide our clients with entrepreneurial services on brand creation and management.

our driving philosophy is turning ideas into results! by do-ing: think-ing, dare-ing, do-ing, what we do is ‘concept-ing’. the approach is based on creating or re-defining a unique business idea and/or brand concept, which serves as the starting point and provides direction for all company or brand activities. once the concept is off and running, products, services and fully integrated communications are then added: a smart and inspiring concept can encompass any number of products or services. it can transform organisations and marketplaces and unlock extraordinary growth potential.

what companies do we work with?

strong concept brands are found in progressive organisations in every possible sector: from consumer needs and services, to business to business, to the public sector. therefore, our clients come from many different spheres: finance, fashion, food, entertainment, health, government, hi-tech, charity etc. we developed concept brands and sub-brands for, among others, Freetel, FreeRecordShop, Dailycom. circa 60% of our work is international.

what people do we work with?

concepting projects are generally initiated by the board of directors or management because they involve business and investment strategies of a company. for them, having stronger ideas and brands is a means to higher profits and not an end in itself. our regular business contacts are therefore primarily:

  • managing directors / ceo’s and increasingly cfo’s with a more than average interest in the value of their brands

  • marketing directors

  • brand managers

  • new product development directors the concepting process itself involves all levels in an organisation. this allows the brand team to find more opportunities. it also ensures maximum authenticity of the newfound values. the process builds internal commitment, assurance and belief. it inspires all layers involved to achieve the commonly defined goals and how to get there.

how do we do it?

our consultancy specializes in the full development of viable brands, from strategy and concepts through design into integrated communications. hence we can accompany the client in the entire process from the earliest stages of development to the execution. to do this, we offer creative consultancy on the following fields:

business concepts > the creation of strategically unique, creatively attractive and commercially profitable business ideas > also on an overall level: the concepting and positioning of the company and corporate brand itself 

brand portfolio management > study and evaluate the relation between a company’s current brands > restructure brand portfolio to determine ‘missing pieces’, hence possible future opportunities

brand re-engineering > redefine and revitalize the brand > translate created brand identity into all forms of communication and action (such as new products and services)

brand creation > develop new brand identity > translate created brand identity into all forms of communication and action

identity design > develop the brand’s look & feel and execute it to perfectly fit all media from house style and packaging to offices, shops or websites > guard and grow the (on- and/or offline) identity design manual

integrated communications > ensuring one heart, soul, voice, look and feel in communication concepts & executions across all media in the brand’s operational reality > without getting predictable!

clients can consult us for one to all of the above fields. projects vary widely. we may analyze a company’s brand portfolio and fill in gaps by re-engineering current brands, creating new ones, (re-)designing them and (re-)launching them across all media. but we also embrace more compact assignments such as creating a website for a company’s sub-brand or sales promotion. what all our clients have in common is that they are building ‘concept brands’. we also work closely together with other agencies and free agents around the globe. this way we can offer the best possible and specialized team for each job and enjoy a continuous stream of fresh ideas.
